There is a scene in Episode 1 of the HBO Miniseries Chernobyl where hours after the explosion all the Party Industry People meet in that underground conference room and all figure out how they can best bullshit their way out of the mess they created. 

Then there is that old coot who tells them to cut the phone lines and tell the people to keep their minds on their labor and "Our Faith in Soviet Socialism will be rewarded" When Fomin and Bryukanov start to realize they are staring into an abyss. I think Trump and his cabinet are approaching that point.

Texas Floods Deaths caused by their NWS cuts, DOGE is a dead, Elon Musk has turned on them. The Billionaire Bailout Bill is unpopular, Republicans cannot face their own voters, The Epstein Papers or lack of them now has created a similar abyss. 

Christianity is in decline, National Pride is in decline, approval numbers are in decline, economy is in decline but the only thing on the rise is RESISTANCE.

In Texas a MAGA woman is crying about the lack of response from the federal government. Of course Ted Cruz was pulling the GOD CARD, the this happened because to took GOD out of everything. Moron, this is Texas, where they put the Ten commandants into elementary schools and Camp Mystic was a CHRISTIAN summer camp. People like this woman since 2016 were being told "Your faith in TRUMP and MAGA will be rewarded, keep your mind on your labor".  MAGA Lady your own Senator was on a European Vacation while you were losing everything.

GUESS WHAT? its all bullshit. Gorbachev himself said Chernobyl led to the collapse of the USSR. People started to see if the government is bullshitting them on this and what else are they? More and more came to the conclusion. EVERYTHING. Their faith in Soviet Socialism was not being rewarded.

Three Years later the entire thing started to collapse and eventually it was the USSR in 1991.

This is how people leave cults and entire belief systems crumble. The ask the question "What else are they lying to me about?"
