Bethesda always depends on them as free labor to volunteer to fix their messes, Modders are barely doing anything like they did with Fallout 4 or Skyrum, because Starfield itself also fails as a bad platform for modders. Mods that came out tend to be things that should be  basic features and features that were in other previous games. I dont know things like....

- Ships Use Fuel

- Manually place doors in ship building.

- Crew Eats Food

- Being Able to Create Legendary Weapons and  Armor like you can in Skyrim. 

You know a FEATURE that was in a previous BETHESDA GAME. 

- New Weapons that do not look like they were designed by AI.

- AK47 that appears in the game is so badly designed that modders added their own. Actually several of them did.

- Weapons from MUCH BETTER GAMES.

- Or a series of MODS that turn Starfield into Star Wars.

The vanilla games design and premise is so shallow and derivative that people are just grafting Star Wars on it to make it bearable.
